Our Work

With your help

we can reach and impact thousands of people living in vulnerable communities around Durban.

At F.O.L. we aim to empower individuals and communities, so that they can live above the international and national poverty-lines. We also desire to impact the lives of the children in this nation, and bring hope, purpose and destiny to their futures. We plan to achieve this through various projects including training, and skills and economic development initiatives, as seen below:

“True spirituality that is pure in the eyes of our Father God is to make a difference in the lives of the orphans, and widows in their troubles.” - James 1:27

Our Focus

Projects Impacting Children

In response to the need for an affordable and safe learning environment for children while their parents are working, we have partnered with business associates to support the establishment of crèche facilities in less advantaged communities.

Our objective is to love, care for and help rebuild the lives of those neglected and distressed in our nation. We aim to do this by:

  • Revamping schools in less privileged communities, that have been neglected. We thus hope to tackle the lack of well-maintained education facilities in our local communities, along with the issue of class overcrowding.
  • Providing sewage and ablution facilities in areas of need.
  • Rebuilding devastated and damaged homes in communities affected by disasters. We desire to see many homes being built for disaster victims and the homeless in the communities where we work, and we are committed to working with distressed families to get them back on their feet.

Relationships with community leaders enables us to listen carefully to what the community deems to be most critical and respond accordingly.
Remarkable contributions from private donations, substantial business trust donations, as well as privately owned corporations with a heart to make a difference, have brought about significant transformation in previous initiatives.

“He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.” – Deuteronomy 10:18

Food and Nutrition

Through community and volunteer engagement, we desire to help families recover faster after disasters, natural or otherwise, especially those in less advantaged communities. One way we aim to achieve this is by supplying food, clean water, clothes, and medical supplies where needed.
